EPG stands for Electronic Program Guide. It's the on-screen grid, usually reached with a "Guide" button on your remote, that lists which channel is showing what, right now and later in the day. On IPTV services like Explore Lounge, the EPG works the same way it does on cable or satellite: rows for channels, columns for time, and a short description when you select a program.
What EPG stands for and what it does
"EPG" is short for Electronic Program Guide, sometimes just called "the guide" or "the TV guide." It pulls listing data for each channel and displays it on a timeline, so you can see what's on now, what's coming up next, and often what's scheduled hours or days ahead. It replaces the printed TV listings that used to come with a newspaper.
How the EPG works inside Explore Lounge

Open the guide
From the Explore Lounge home screen, select Guide (or press the Guide button on remotes that have one) to open the grid view.

Browse the grid
Channels are listed down the left side, with the current time block highlighted. Scroll right to see what's scheduled later.

Select a program for details
Highlight any program in the grid to see its title, time slot, and description before switching to it.

Jump straight to a channel
Select a channel row to tune to it immediately, without leaving the guide.
Reading the EPG grid
- Rows = channels, in the order they're organized on your account.
- Columns = time blocks, usually in 30-minute increments.
- The highlighted block = what's currently airing on that channel.
- Selecting a program shows its name, air time, and a short synopsis when that data is available for the channel.
If the guide looks empty or out of date
Program listing data is supplied per channel and refreshes on a schedule, so it's normal for a small number of channels to show a placeholder title or a short gap in the timeline. Two quick checks cover most cases:
