Prepare Windows or Mac first

Install system updates, restart the laptop, and close applications that are using a lot of memory or bandwidth. This creates a clean baseline before opening a player.

Use the same home Wi-Fi you plan to use for the main screen when testing. That makes the result more relevant than testing from a different network.

  • Update Windows or macOS
  • Close heavy background apps
  • Test the home Wi-Fi
  • Use a compatible player

Keep desktop setup private

Use a trusted compatible player or browser path recommended by your service. Avoid unknown browser extensions, playlist conversion websites, and downloads that ask for more access than a player should need.

Keep your account details private and use a device lock so another person cannot open the player without permission.

Check the basics if playback changes

Restart the player, check available storage, and test a normal website or video service on the same network. If the issue is only on one laptop, system updates or device performance may be involved.

Share the laptop operating system, player name, and a cropped screenshot when contacting support.
